Application requirements
1. CA ANZ applicants must currently hold the ACCA designation and be a member in good standing. They must have gained membership by completing the professional education/examinations and practical experience requirements for membership of ACCA.
The Agreement doesn't apply to individuals who gained membership of ACCA through another reciprocal membership agreement with a third party.
2. In addition, the following information will be assessed by CA ANZ to determine eligibility for membership under By-Law 12 (b) Special Admissions:
- Professional standing (through a letter of good standing from ACCA). This letter must confirm the applicant's pathway to membership as well as their professional standing (meeting of all membership obligations).
- Professional experience. The applicant must have attained at least five years' experience post admittance to full ACCA membership. These five years do not necessarily need to be continuous/consecutive.
- Country of residence. The applicant must currently be residing in Australia or New Zealand. If they are planning to migrate then the application may be submitted once they are residing in Australia or New Zealand.
- Meeting of professional development obligations. Applicants must have undertaken their continuing professional development (CPD) as required by ACCA under its regulations, providing such regulations are consistent with IFAC IES7.
- Professional contribution. The applicant must be able to provide evidence of a contribution to business or the accounting profession, with two referees providing written confirmation of their standing.
3. The final decision on admission to membership shall rest with CA ANZ.
