Suspending ACCA Services
We don’t offer the option to freeze your account. Your ACCA services will be suspended if you don’t pay the annual subscription fee by the payment deadline.
Please note that the consequences are the same whether you suspend passively (by not paying) or actively (by resigning).
Impact of resignation
After losing ACCA status, you’ll no longer be able to access or benefit from the following:
Access to relevant information and support through your MyACCA account
Over 100 hours of free Continuing Professional Development (CPD) resources annually
Opportunities to participate in industry discussions within ACCA professional communities
Fast-track routes to domestic and international further education programmes
Recommendations for employer-direct positions on the ACCA job board - ACCA职位招聘板
Bonuses, professional title recognitions, and other benefits under more than 50 government talent recognition policies (全国40余项政府人才认可政策) nationwide
Eligibility to hold an intermediate professional title granted by certain cities as an ACCA member
Participation in the formulation of policies in the professional field and contribution to ACCA professional insight reports as an ACCA member
Employment support from ACCA, including various soft skills training, member-direct positions, and training camps
Access to ACCA member events, including the ACCA annual meeting, industry salons, professional forums, etc.
Membership pathway impact (China)
After 5 years of membership, you can become a fellow member (FCCA) and be eligible to apply for certain cities’ associate senior professional titles. Note: If membership is removed and later reactivated, your membership duration resets and needs to be re-started.
Fees
No matter how you lose your ACCA status, they incur the same fees. If you later return, you will need to pay a readmission fee.
Fellows – additional information
ACCA membership is a symbol of professional proficiency in the accounting industry and a commitment to professional ethics. It represents industry-wide recognition and commendation earned through hard work and study. Many fellows (FCCA) continue to maintain their membership status even if they are no longer actively working in the accounting industry.
We highly value your fellowship status; you’re not only important to ACCA, but also an outstanding role model for peers striving to achieve the same.
Lifetime membership: lifetime membership is open to all fellows (FCCA) who are permanently retired from work or business (full or part time).
Still wish to resign your membership?
We strongly encourage you to reconsider before deciding to resign your membership. If you’ve already decided, please complete a resignation application. Once we confirm your membership is resigned, you will no longer hold ACCA or FCCA status and cannot identify yourself as an ACCA member or fellow.
Members who request to resign must return their membership certificates by mailing them to the ACCA office or by physically destroying them.
